My film Genesis can be viewed in the genre of landscape painting. What at first appears to be a benign boulder sat in an arcane landscape slowly begins to take on human qualities, where the displaced rock becomes almost body-like. There is an uncanny simplicity to this film and its composition, a desire to deconstruct wholeness in order to give something more than wholeness. Is this a genesis, or the genesis?
I made this film to continue my explorations into the nature of being, as part of my practice at the time centred around post-human explorations with body and rock.
