Commissioned by Hastings' NHS trust: an entire design for the central courtyard to the newly built Mental Health Accute Unit. It comprises planting, paving, seating, courtyard design and central water sculpture made from African Black granite. All aspects of the courtyard are desinged to relax and calm the clients who view and walk through it.

The sculpture developes Hitchens' current studio practice where he morphs the circle and the square, the sphere and the cube, into a fluid new dimension.
